| What You Need To Know About Classes |
Registering for Classes
You can register for classes by phone or register online. Find the class you want and follow the directions to register.
All registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis. Class space is limited so we encourage you to register as early as possible.
* Our site is completely secure and we do not share your personal information with anyone.
Prerequisites
Some classes may require previous experience in specific skill areas. Before you register, check to see if the course description describes any experience or training you need to have before enrolling in the course. You can also call our office at 426-1974 to ask about specific course requirements.
Class Fees
Payment is due at the time of registration. We take cash, checks and agency vouchers (in person, or via mail only) and Visa / Mastercard. If you are paying with an agency voucher, we require the original voucher with all appropriate signatures.
Textbooks and Materials
Required textbooks are to be purchased prior to the first day of class. Textbooks may be purchased from the Boise State bookstore, online, or elsewhere. We provide the ISBN for required textbooks.
Some textbooks are included in the cost of your course. Your registration confirmation will provide you with this information.
Some courses require materials in addition to textbooks. This information is available online in the course pages, or will be provided on your registration confirmation.
Financial Aid/Funding Agencies
Our programs are non-credit and do not qualify for traditional financial aid programs that individuals enrolled in full time credit programs can access.
Local funding agencies may be able to help you pay for your courses if you meet their qualifications.
We can make billing arrangements with employers. Please call 426-1974 to learn more about these options.
Cancellations/ Processing Fee/ Refund Policy
If you cancel before a class starts you will receive a refund, but we will deduct a $25 processing fee to cover our administrative costs. You are welcome to send someone else to attend in your space- there is no penalty for substitutions. There is a $15 transfer fee to transfer from one class to another after enrollment has been processed. Please call if you have questions 426-1974.
Language
All classes are taught in English and may require written work to be completed in English. All testing and certification require English reading and comprehension at the 7th grade level. If English is your second language, and you would like more information about English classes, contact Adult Basic Education.
